Paying for Obligations

Paying for Obligations

OCPS is pleased to provide devices to all students enrolled in at least one core on-campus course. The OCPS Code of Student Conduct states that students must not willfully or maliciously damage Board property. District issued devices are the property of the School Board of Orange County and its taxpayers.

Fines

DEVICES

As opposed to previous years, device fees will not be assessed based on a standard tiered incident fee structure. Instead, students will receive disciplinary consequences based on the OCPS Code of Student Conduct offense level and fines will be at the discretion of administration based on value of device and incident.

Level II Offense: device damage caused by willful or malicious destruction of a device, or its components valued at less than $100 in repair or replacement costs.

Level III (over $100): device damage caused by willful or malicious destruction of a device, or its components valued at more than $100 in repair or replacement costs.

ACCESSORIES

The charger and protective cases for devices are considered accessories, along with any other item not core to the device but necessary for its full functionality and protection. When an accessory is damaged, the student is responsible for the actual cost up to a maximum of $20 for the first incident and the full cost of replacement for all subsequent incidents.
Example: First charger lost or broken will be $20. All subsequent chargers will be the actual cost of the charger.

How to Pay:

School Pay Logo

You can pay for any money you owe to the school with credit/debit cards (via SchoolPay), cash, or checks. We encourage all parents and students to pay with their credit/debit cards using the SchoolPay website.

We can take cash or check payments for laptops, chargers, and books in the media center before or after school. Credit/Debit card payments must be made online using the links below.

All club and athletics dues and fees need to be paid to the club sponsor.

If you owe an obligation to another school (for example, a lost library book from elementary school), you will need to contact the school that you owe to make payment.
